Rekha Pillai is a leading career development coach and founder of MyLaunchpad Student Career Counselling. With a genuine passion for nurturing potential and a unique combination of experiences, she is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of students seeking career guidance.

She has a bachelor’s in environmental sciences from Mount Carmel College (Bengaluru), an MS in Remote sensing and GIS from the University of Nevada, Reno (US) and an MBA in Human Resources and Marketing from DePaul University, Chicago (US). Additionally, she holds a diploma in Fashion designing from IDeA World College (Bengaluru) and a Green Belt Global Career Counselor certification from UCLA Extn and Univariety, granting her a deep understanding of various academic disciplines and global educational landscapes.

In her career, Rekha has worked as a Research Scientist specializing in remote sensing and GIS and collaborating on projects with organizations such as NASA, DoD, US DHS, BLM etc. After completing her MBA, she embraced the corporate world in HR and Marketing, while simultaneously exploring her creative flair as a fashion designer. 

These diverse experiences and her exposure to different cultures have motivated her to look beyond professional success and chase her own passion and purpose. This realization led her to discover her true calling in mentoring young minds, prompting her to start MyLaunchpad. The organization is dedicated to empowering youth by guiding them not only in career decisions, but also in discovering their core identity and aligning their professional journey with their personal values and aspirations.
